BMW 135i Coupe Photos | BMW's 1 Series Redefined
I have to admit when I first was getting into photography one of my favorite subjects to photograph was cars. As a wedding photographer its always nice to take a step back and trying shooting something new and shiny. Seeing as God recently blessed me with the opportunity to snag a FANTASTIC deal on a silver BMW 135i Coupe, I now have a new perfect new model. The little BMW 1 Series took me out for a quick photoshoot yesterday afternoon at the i-car center here in Greenville. Check it out!

North American International Autoshow Pictures | Detroit Auto Show 2011
Most car guys (yea, I fall into that group) have always dreamed of going to what is arguably the biggest and most extensive car show in the world, the Detroit Autoshow (or technically the North American International Autoshow). Well this year my dream finally came true.
I got to spend the early part of this week working at the 2011 Detroit Autoshow. Working the show definitely has its benefits, the biggest one being able to get in before the show is open to the public. Thats right, no one stepping in front of the cars right before you press the shutter, no crying kids, no stupid people posing in cars they will only dream about owning someday. Working the show does have its downsides as well, mainly being you constantly get asked where the bathrooms are. I don't blame them though, it took me a good hour to find them too! My bladder was pretty happy when I finally did!
So if you didn't have a chance to checkout the show in Detroit this year, hopefully these photos will highlight what you missed (technically, as of this writing, the show is still open). I highly recommend it for any car guru, gearhead, or anyone that enjoys seeing state of the art automotive design. Enjoy!

Mercedes had a pretty awesome display

Lovin the new Audi R8 GT (and pretty much anything at the audi booth)

The new Mercedes SLS

The old Mercedes gulwing

Yup, thats a Bentley!

Lexus LFA anyone?

It deserved another shot...

This was probably one of my favorite cars there, the new Maserati Gran Turismo S

Ever seen those ken block videos? Yup thats the car!

This Mayback was probably the biggest "car" I've ever seen! Ridiculous!

The backseat room

I was sold after sitting in the massaging rear seats of the new Hyundai Equus, only $310,000 less than the Maybach, and pretty much the same features set!

The other end of the automotive spectrum

Tesla Roadster, the only electric car I wouldn't mind having

Audi R8 V10 GT

Hello potential next car

LED overload at the lexus display

LOVE the matte finish on the new Mercedes E-class AMG

CTS-V Race Car

Brand new Audi A6 (If you couldn't figure it out by the picture)

Mustang Racing at the Ford Display

The real thing, a boss mustang 302 running at 120MPH on the dyno... man that thing sounds incredible!

Tennis ball colored Mercedes SLS E-cell

New Subaru STI

The lone Ferrari at the show

2011 Detroit Autoshow Preview
Having just gotten back from the 2011 Detroit Autoshow, I'm definitely on a major automotive high. This was my first year at a REAL autoshow and I have to say the show just blew me away. It couldn't even begin to compare to the last auto show I've been to, the 2009 Rochester Autoshow. Not only was the show about three times the size, the displays, cars, and overall presentation were all top notch.
Naturally I took severalhundred thousand photos while I was there. Here's a quick sneak peak... many to come very soon!

Naturally I took several

Petit Le Mans 2010 Photos | ALMS Race Road Atlanta
I had never been to an ALMS race before and seeing as how Petit Le Mans is one of the biggest and LONGEST of all the American Le Mans races, I figured it would be a good place to get my feet wet. And WOW it was awesome, I've never been to anything like it before!
This was the 13th annual petit le mans held at Road Atlanta. It's a 10 hour or 1000 mile race, whatever comes first. This year there were a bunch of cars represented from Audi TDI race cars, to Ferrari F430's and from Corvette C6R's to Hybrid Porsches. I've shot up at the BMW performance center before and it was always a challenge. The only difference here is that the cars are pushing 200mph! Check out some of the action!

The number 9 Audi had a little trouble at the beginning of the race

Full race spec M3

I can't believe how close the cars race to each other while pushing 150mph!

Just a flesh wound!

Cleaning up after a pit stop

Overlooking all the pit teams

A street spec Ferrari F430

The racing continues on into the night

Love how you can see the brake rotors glow!

Patron Ferrari F430 heating up the brakes near the end of the race
