Candid. Simple. Timeless. - Greenville Wedding Photography
I've been questioning myself over the last few months, what is my photography really all about? After pondering this question over and over again I finally came up with three big areas that I want my photography to be about.
Candid - The majority of my photos should be candid. Catching people in their element, having fun, being themselves. This isn't to say that a little direction isn't good every now and then, but it is important to capture the true personality of the subject.
Simple - My photography should be simple. Each picture should have a purpose, a subject, without a lot of clutter and distractions to take away from it. My layouts, framing, and website should be simple and not take away from the photographs. Planning a photo session or wedding package should be simple, fun, and easy to do.
Timeless - It is crucial that photographs stand the test of time. The whole point of photography is to manipulate time, capturing a select moment forever. Our style and editing should be able to reproduce that moment many years from now. This is why we don't use a lot of the over-the-top photoshop effects that will look dated just a few years from now.
These three aspects will be crucial to my photography, business, and brand from now on. I've updated my websites with a new intro. Check it out here: J Jones Photography - Main Greenville Site or on our dedicated greenville wedding site: J Jones Photography - Greenville Spartanburg Wedding Photography. Enjoy!

New Bmw 760 Li Review and Photos
The 760Li, which shares its basic engine technology with the soon-to-materialise Rolls-Royce Ghost, provides one of the more luxurious and quickest ways to complete any road journey. The first of those can start as the owner drives it from BMW Welt on the route out of Munich and on to an autobahn of their choice for a long, loping, relaxed trip home.
At least they can if they don't plan to take it back to the UK. Unlike Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Audi, BMW – mainly for reasons of registration – does not at present offer this factory take-away service for buyers living in Britain.
It's a pity, because the collection ceremony is a memorable event. I hummed a little of Wagner's Götterdämmerung to myself as a virginal white 760Li pirouetted on the turntable. Then it was into the car, a hushed drive to the automatic doors of BMW Welt and we purred off, appropriately to join Munich's ring-road, before reaching speedo needle-bending velocity on a ribbon of Bavarian autobahn as the two turbochargers force-fed 12 hungry cylinders. And it was all done with a discreet under-bonnet murmur and near silence in the cruise.
The 760Li's all-new alloy engine will form the basis of the unit for the Ghost, which is due to be seen at the Frankfurt motor show in September. For the seemly Rolls, the engine displaces 6.6 litres and there is emphasis on low-end torque rather than maximum power output.
Although BMW has to get by on a paltry 6.0 litres, peak power is rated at 537bhp at 5,250rpm with 553lb ft of torque from only 1,500rpm, giving a 0-62mph time of only 4.6 seconds… and this car weighs 2.1 tons. So if you happen to be in competitive mood, it's probably best not to mess with the 760 since you are more than likely to see only its twin quadrilateral tailpipes moving away with alacrity.
Helping it all happen is a new ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, a real cognoscente of how to shift for itself without anyone noticing. The combination of engine and transmission is thoroughly convincing and helps towards a combined fuel consumption of 21.7mpg.
"Everything that BMW stands for can be found in this luxury car," said Wolfgang Stadler, managing director of the Dingolfing plant where it is built. And it probably can, including surprisingly good handling considering the car's weight and size (its wheelbase is 5.5in longer than that of a regular 7-series and overall length is 16ft 8in). Dynamic Damping with manual selection gives a choice of comfort, normal or sportyish road reactions and the big saloon felt relatively compact on winding German rural roads. Wheels are 19 inches in diameter. An M Sport version is available at £96,590.
The long-wheelbase 760Li (BMW is not bringing the regular 760i to the UK), has a very high specification with just about everything that makes a premium car, including Nappa leather upholstery that also covers the instrument panel, Alcantara headlining, burr walnut trim – and lots of technology. The optional head-up display is particularly impressive.
But it is really the drivetrain that makes the 760Li what it is. The mellifluous, almost vibration-free engine and the quick-shifting, very smooth and efficient gearbox suit the car perfectly.
Is this a poor man's Rolls-Royce Ghost? At more than £94,000 it is hardly in the bargain basement but it is about £100,000 less than the Ghost will cost.
And if you could collect it from BMW Welt, Munich, it would provide a pleasant city break – and save the normal UK £655 delivery charge. A soothing thought as you snuggle down beneath the BMW-branded duvet.

Fiat 500C Review
A huge 70 per cent of the Fiat 500C's customers will be female, and it will be a confident heterosexual male who puts his hand in his wallet for one. It's a dinky, bubbly car, painted in pretty pastel colours, with big plastic buttons inside, a panel on the facia for writing shopping lists in traffic jams (it wipes clean) and the prettiest cream leather steering wheel you've ever seen. It's a kiss-me-quick car, designed full of cheek, verve and zest; the perfect antidote to a serious global recession.
Yes, £11,300-£14,100 is a high price range for a diddy runaround, but it's a much better waste of money than that other retro-based, expensive small car that trades on people's affections, the MINI.
Unlike the German pastiche, Fiat has kept faithfully to the spirit of the 1957 orginal Cinquecento with this car. It makes you want to shout "Ciao!" and "Pronto!" and "Que bella!" at the top of your voice as you zip through narrow cobbled streets, a latte spilling everywhere, small yappy dog in passenger seat, Dean Martin's Volare blaring from the radio.
As the purchasing decision for this car will undoubtedly revolve entirely around its looks, there's little point in mentioning ride, handling or performance. Suffice to say you don't get much of the last with 69bhp from the 1.2 petrol engine, unless you spend a lot of time changing down gears. The handling is a little woolly, the ride bouncy and the throttle pedal oversprung. But who gives a damn when the car looks this good?
Of more interest is the fabric folding roof, modelled so closely on the original, but with one or two clever new touches. It rolls back from the body in the manner of a panoramic sunroof rather than a true convertible, and concertinas electronically behind the rear seats, but it doesn't lower out of sight, so leaves you with an arrow slit of sky in your rear-view mirror. Silly as it sounds for a car of this size, the standard rear parking sensors are welcome.
Cleverly, you can opt to roll it back halfway, which leaves the rear window in place and gives you a large area of sky above your head. Even better, if the roof is fully down and you wish to open the boot, the folded roof automatically rises slightly and tips to give you access.
There are three engines on offer: 1.2- and 1.4-litre petrols and a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel. The 1.2-litre engine mixed with the higher Lounge trim will be the best-selling model in the UK, which was home to the international launch of the car and is remarkably the first market to get the car, ahead of Italy, such is the importance of Britain to convertible sales.
But the lower Pop specification is generous enough, with body-coloured bumpers, chromed door handles, MP3-compatible CD player, electric door mirrors, Isofix attachments and steering wheel-mounted buttons for audio controls. You also get a choice of colours for the fabric roof: black, red or ivory.
There is no prettier car than a 500C in pale blue with a cream fabric roof and matching interior. Men with girlfriends and wives to please, take note.

Barrichello claims first GP win in five years
VALENCIA, Spain — Brazilian veteran Rubens Barrichello claimed an emotional 10th Formula One victory on Sunday when he drove his Brawn GP car through a perfectly-judged race in searing heat to win the European Grand Prix.
It was his first win this season and his first triumph in five years since the 2004 Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai for Ferrari as well as a popular victory greeted with delight and tears in the paddock.
Barrichello's win lifted him from fourth to second in the drivers' championship standings.
Briton Jenson Button, his Brawn team-mate, who was seventh, now leads with 72 points ahead of the Brazilian on 54 with Australian Mark Webber third on 51.5.
The 37-year-old driver from Sao Paulo came in ahead of defending drivers champion Lewis Hamilton in a McLaren and Finn Kimi Raikkonen for Ferrari at the Mediterranean street circuit in eastern Spain.
Hamilton had started from pole but his hopes of victory were dashed by a muddled second pit-stop when the McLaren team had not prepared his tyres.
Hamilton's McLaren team-mate Heikki Kovalainen, took fourth ahead of German Nico Rosberg of Williams and local hero Fernando Alonso of Renault, who was sixth.
Webber, second in the championship before the race, was ninth after his Red Bull team-mate German Sebastian Vettel was forced to retire with an engine failure.
Button, starting fifth, suffered a dreadful opening lap and, after being swamped in a rush through the first corner, emerged down in eighth place.
At the front McLaren's duo drove like a dream machine, leading the field comfortably with Hamilton reeling off fastest laps and little else changing as the procession stretched out around the harbour streets.
Only reliability, notably with the brakes, appeared to be a threat to the revitalised champion.
Hamilton made his first stop after 15 laps and rejoined sixth.
The stops gave Kovalainen the lead for a lap before he pitted and Barrichello took advantage with four fast laps as leader before his strategy brought him in later.
When Barrichello finally came in after 19 laps, he was in a strong position and soon found himself second behind Hamilton, just 3.6 seconds behind.
As they vied for the lead, Vettel was forced to retire as his Red Bull experienced another Renault engine failure, his second following a similar blow on Saturday.
It was a heartbreaking moment for the Red Bull team and Vettel whose title hopes almost certainly went up in smoke. "Too much, too many bad issues," he said.
"An engine failure..I don't know why - maybe I am a killer. But I will fight till the last breath for the title."
As the middle of the race unfolded, there were two key battles - at the front where Hamilton was fighting off Barrichello's challenge and for eighth place where Button was attacking Webber.
But when Hamilton pitted after 37 laps, his dream race turned into a nightmare because the pit crew were barely ready and had not brought the tyres out into the pit lane. The stop lasted nearly 14 seconds and a delighted Barrichello flew into the lead.
The Brazilian pitted again after 40 laps and his crew demonstrated how it should be done in less than seven seconds and he rejoined as clear leader by four seconds.
Barrichello extended his lead to six seconds as Hamilton fought to find the speed that would keep his hopes of a second straight win alive.
The Briton pushed hard, but it was not enough to stop Barrichello delivering an emotional win fuelled by his feelings after seeing compatriot Felipe Massa of Ferrari crash in Hungary, after being struck by debris from his Brawn car.
"Well done Rubens, well done, fantastic, just like the old days," said his team chief Ross Brawn.
The reply, on the team radio, from Barrichello was so flooded with emotion that it was incomprehensible.
And as he drove home to the Brawn pits down the pit lane, he was applauded all the way by rivals and friends before he bowed out of his car and slapped his head to denote his feelings for Massa, his successor at Ferrari, watching at home in Brazil.
